Sketchbook Entry

Different pieces in our sketchbooks were made of different materials, some were pencil others were charcoal and some were pens. During the weeks before thanksgiving we drew a lot of Thanksgiving and Halloween food items. This Pumpkin was drawn with three kinds of charcoal pens.

Digital Art

At lot of our projects were done digitally. This one was designed to show things that are not actually possible.

Best Pencil sketch

Somedays when we arrived in class we were told to take out our sketch books and draw something involving the project we were working on or about to start.

Global Awareness

This was designed to emphasis dependence on plastic water bottles. Most of the water bottles are very light so they will contrast the black surface

Fantasy Chessboard

This is a linear perspective piece designed in the form of a chessboard to show fighting between two separate groups. This one shows two different kinds of mythology one being evil and the other being good. I used light and dark values to show the difference between the good and evil sections of the chessboard.

Scratchboard piece

For this piece we were given a piece of scratch board and three tools that would allow us to talk off pieces of the black to bring white to the surface. Once our scratching was completed we were given the option to add colored ink.

Tree drawing

For this project we went outside for a class and sat in front of a tree. Picking a specific section of it to draw. We used line as well as negative and positive space.

Cornucopia

This assignment involved using 3 different kinds of charcoal to shade in the figures and give them a 3D form, we also used the charcoal to show the black and white values within the picture. It also makes use of positive and negative space where the hay barrel and cornucopia end.

Flying Shoe

For this project we were asked to draw the shoes we were wearing from different angels and then use photoshop to create our own version of the flying shoe.

ASL Name

This was one of the first projects we had this year. In art one we were asked to draw hands in sign language as a way to develop our skills.
