Self Portrait

My self portrait did not turn out the way I intended. Even after at least seven attempts at drawing my face the drawing looks absolutely nothing like me! The mouth is lopsided as are almost all the features within the drawing, and they are all just slightly higher than the should be.

Still Life

We were given a week to work on still lives. Mine happened to be three glasses which I drew from the angle I was sitting, the people who were sitting around me ended up with drawings that were extremely different from my own. Showing that all of us had our own artistic identity.

Balance

This was the final water color painting of the year, I choose to make mine as detailed as possible and since this was an assignment on balance I decided to do both metaphorical and actual balance with the Ying Yang symbol.

Architectural

This was the second water color painting we created in art 1. With this painting I choose to incorporate more details then I did in the first painting. This happens to be a picture of both my home and my car sitting in the front

Balance

This was the first watercolor painting I created. When I originally turned in the piece there was no large black smudge at the top of the butterfly. When compared to the other watercolor pieces I created I believe that my growth in this area of art is obvious.

Pop Art

In second semester Art 1 we worked in groups to create a larger image of something that is found in everyday life. My group attempted to create a heel. This was very difficult to do especially when it came to building the arch and giving the shoe enough support to stand on its own.
